Ruth Sandoval is the Court Administrator for the City of Lakeway Municipal Court. The Court Administrator is responsible for managing and supervising the administrative and clerical operations of the Court, which includes budgeting and reporting to the Office of Court Administration and DPS. Additionally, the role includes flow management, statistical analysis and projections, public relations and the Court Case Management System.
Ruth joined the City of Lakeway in 2005, initially working for the police department for the first three months. She then joined the Lakeway Municipal Court as the Deputy Court Clerk and later became the Court Administrator in 2009. Before working with the City of Lakeway, Ruth worked for the Pittsburg Police Department as a Records Clerk from 2001 to 2005.
Ruth obtained her certification with the Texas Municipal Court Clerks Education as a Certified Municipal Court Clerk. She is currently working to achieve the Court Management certification from the National Centers for State Courts in Williamsburg, Virginia. This certification is for three years and she will graduate in 2020. Ruth also volunteers as a mentor to other clerks who are pursuing levels of certification. She is also a member of the Texas Municipal Court Association and Texas Court Clerks Association.
Ruth graduated from the University of Guadalajara in Mexico with a license degree in Business Administration, which is equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in the United States.
Family is important to Ruth, and she enjoys spending time with them, especially her husband and grandkids. Ruth has been married to her wonderful husband for 40 years, has two daughters, one son, two son-in-laws, two granddaughters and two grandsons. Ruth also enjoys the outdoors and travel.
