What do I need to know about parade safety?

Remind parade entry drivers to drive slowly and watch carefully for children who may dart into the street.
Appropriate items can ONLY be tossed from walkers, cars and golfcarts.
Only children older than 12 may be allowed to toss items from a vehicle. Adult supervision for younger children in the parade is required.

For safety sake, parents of small children should remain vigilant with keeping their children off the street surface.
