Solid Waste Management

The City of Lakeway provides weekly trash and recycling services through Waste Connections to homes within the city limits. Each week residents are allowed to place carts curbside after 6:00pm the day before the scheduled service day or no later than 8:00am on the day of service. Carts must be returned to the storage area by the end of the service day. Carts kept outside must be screened with a solid wood or masonry fence.




The following items may be placed alongside the trash carts: Extra bags of trash, grass, leaves, and/or tied 3x3 bundles of yard/tree waste (not to exceed the accumulative total of 8); up to 25 flattened boxes.

Instructions for setting up an account : 


To set up new service, the following information is required:

  • Solid Waste Service Agreement - please click on this link to print a copy of the service agreement.
  • Photo ID
  • $75 deposit - paid in the form of cash, credit/debit card, check or money order (made payable to the City of Lakeway).

You may call the Solid Waste Department at 512-314-7514 and set up new service over the phone or bring the above information to the Solid Waste Department located at 1102 Lohmans Crossing Road inside the City Hall building. The office is open Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
