City Park Trails

City Park Trail (164x220).jpgLakeway City Park has nearly two miles of walking, jogging, and/or hiking trails constructed of both asphalt and concrete.

Lower Trail

The Lower Trail is paved and a perfect place to enjoy the fresh air and get a little exercise. Forming a loop around City Park, the Lower Trail is about a mile and a quarter in length.  On the next clear day you might see joggers, families walking their dogs or kids riding their scooters.  No matter what the activity, you can be sure everyone will be having a good time!

Challenge Trail

Challenge Trail.JPGThe City Park Challenge Trail covers just over three-quarters of a mile.  The natural path is a little more primitive and is steeper than the Lower Trail.  However, it is still very well maintained by the City Parks and Recreation Department.  Along the City Park Challenge Trail you will find a delightful waterfall dedicated to the memory of Burton C. Barnes by his family and friends.
