Tree City USA:

The City of Lakeway was awarded the Tree City USA recognition from the National Arbor Day Foundation in 2022. This is a recognition set aside for those communities putting significant investments into their urban forest. Having recently passed a new tree ordinance, which provides increased protections for trees including public trees, Lakeway met all criteria for this recognition.
