Lap Swimming and Rules for Pool Features

Lap Swimming Etiquette

  1. Expect to share a lane
  2. Try to swim with others of your own pace
  3. No diving
  4. Swim in a COUNTERCLOCKWISE direction staying to the right of the lane
  5. Pass at the ends of each lane or if the passing lane is clear
  6. Move to extreme right corners of the lane if stopping
  7. Avoid congregating at the end walls
  8. No hanging on lane lines
  9. Be considerate of others and their individual workouts

Frog Slide

  1. One person at a time
  2. Feet first
  3. Please wait until person ahead of you has exited the landing area
  4. No horse play

Lily Pad

  1. Patrons must be able to swim the width of the leisure pool
  2. Patrons must wait for staff approval to start their attempt
  3. Patrons must be able to stand on the lily pad and fully reach support line
  4. Patrons must only enter from the north (slide) side of the pool
  5. No diving off lily pads
  6. No running allowed on the lily pad walk
  7. No playing with anchor chains
  8. When patrons fall off, they must swim to the edge of the pool and exit
  9. One person at a time on the lily pads
  10. No horse play
  11. Never leap, stand, or jump on a floatable
  12. Stay out from under floatables

Water Slide

  1. Maximum operational load = 1 person, 300 lbs.
  2. Children under 48 inches tall (1.22 m) are not permitted on this ride
  3. Eyeglasses must be securely affixed to riders with head straps
  4. Swim wear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets or metal ornamentation is not permitted
  5. Only one rider to enter the slide at a time.  Single riders only!
  6. Never form chains
  7. Slide must be ridden feet first lying on your back with legs firmly crossed at the ankles and arms folded across the chest (to prevent elbows contacting the slide)
  8. Riders must wait for the attendants start signal before starting the ride
  9. Do not uncross your legs or attempt to sit up until you come to a stop in the catch pool
  10. Do not run, dive, stand, kneel, rotate or stop in the slide
  11. At the end of the slide, obey all instructions by splash pool attendant and exit quickly
  12.  CAUTION:  For safety reasons, pregnant women and persons with heart conditions or back trouble should not ride this slide

Catch Pool

  1. Do not block the end of the slide
  2. Leave the splash pool quickly and orderly
  3. No swimming or flotation devices allowed in the catch pool
